About me

I’m 37 and from Hampshire, UK.

Calm before the storm! Crondall Triathlon 2016

I’m passionate about the outdoors and have the great pleasure of working with the UKs most beautiful places, our National Parks.

I am a triathlete and runner and train with my local running club, Hart Road Runners. I started competing in triathlon at the age of 24 and soon became an addict! I’ve raced all triathlon distances from sprint to ironman as well as doing plenty of run races too, including 5 London Marathons. In recent years, I have represented Great Britain as part of the Age Group team at World and European championships, earning a Silver European medal at the 2015 European long course champs. And now, in 2017 I’ve qualified for the Ironman World Champs in Kona, Hawaii. Excited doesn’t even come close….!

I love hill walking and wild camping and am Mountain Leader trained. For many years I ran a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award group and got a lot of pleasure in teaching young people the art of map reading, camp craft and team work.

I’ve dedicated a whole page to my favourite type of holiday, so you can read more about cycle touring and why I think its the best way to explore, relax and get fit all at once.

Basically I love being outside and keeping fit. And I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to iron age archaeology too. I mean, who doesn’t love a hill fort??
